the couscous collective thoughts

Welcome to the inaugural post of the couscous collective blog. This is where we the collective will post all things comics: thoughts, reviews, sketches, complaints, progress on projects, etc…

My goal was to get this blog going before APE, but frankly I thought I was going to be frantically messing with code up until the night before the convention. You can imagine how happy I am that it’s up and running almost a solid month early. The main couscous site is also going to get an update before the convention, but I’m waiting for some final artwork. Once the files are in my hands, it will take me less than an hour to get things online.

I’ve also been working on the Bold RIley websites, and they are looking pretty good. Serpent in the Belly has some pages up already, and The Prologue and Wicked Temple should have pages online by APE. Now that the website stuff is done, I’ll be able to focus on the lettering.

I’m kicking around the idea of trying to make a mini of my own, but while I can get digital things like websites and lettering done efficiently, drawing is something else entirely. I am…not so good at that. If I can come up with a good, short story soon I’ll do my best to finish it by APE.

So if you’re in San Francisco on November 1-2, come to APE and say hi. It’s a great convention, and all the other couscousers will have cool comics on the table.
