Intervention!

I’m going to be a GOH at Intervention in September, along with my Skin Horse collaborator Jeff Wells. Come see us!

Also in completely unrelated news, I started a blog, Tiki Weekend, for my collection of tiki memorabilia. No, really. I’ve got a bunch of tiki stuff.

Kickstarter Update: Bonus Narbonic Print!

With two weeks to go on the Kickstarter drive for the two-volume Narbonic omnibus, I have to thank everybody from the bottom of my heart for contributing. We’ve reached our funding goal and then some, ensuring that I can not only print the books, but pay a generous rate for the amazing work of designer Pancha Diaz, who’s putting the books together, and printmaker Liz Conley, who’s creating the limited-edition slipcovers for the top-tier pledges.

As a small gesture of thanks for everyone’s incredible generosity, I’ve added to the Kickstarter incentives. In addition to the listed incentives, I’ll be sending a signed 5″x7″ Narbonic print, inspired by the cover design for the books, to everyone who pledges at any level. Thank you so much for making this project happen.

Oh yeah, and remember there’s still time to pledge!

Old Doodle #1

I was going through my old notebooks last night and found some sketches that might be fun to post. I drew this one while working on Narbonic back in the day.

Elena Draws Tesla

A sketch of my cat, Tesla, by the incredible Elena Diaz. For some reason, our friend Mohamed demanded a sketch of a cat meeting a monitor lizard, so here’s the epic confrontation as depicted by Elena.

Next Elena needs to post some sketches of her own cat, Biscotti. Go, go Elena!
