Wondercon Ahoy

I finalized the Serpent in the Belly pages last night (added SF, fixed placement of text, etc) and got all the main body pages laid out. Now I’m waiting to get scans of the bonus material and the cover art. We will totally have this ready for Wondercon. We’re also going to be printing a few more copies of Wicked Temple if you couldn’t make it to APE. But once these are gone, you’re going to have to wait for the anthology to see it in print.

New Mell and Bazillion

It’s Wednesday, and that means New Webcomic Day. Li’l Mell updates here, and the Chronicles of William Bazillion continue right here.

I Saw You

So I’ve got a comic in I Saw You, a collection of comics based on Craigslist missed-connection posts. Thanks to Julia Wertz for editing this excellent anthology. There’s like a ton of good cartoonists in it.

New Li’l Mell and William Bazillion

Y’know who has a new page up? Yeah, it’s me. Also Andrew.

Another day, another Couscous-er interviewed.

Leia Weathington isn’t the only Couscous member who can score an interview!  Everything you ever wanted to know about Andrew Farago can be found at the link.

Well, not really, but you should check out the rest of the stuff at Graphic Novel Reporter while you wait for the rest of my secrets to spill out.

It’s Wednesday!

You know what that means. More Li’l Mell. Also, more William Bazillion. Ayup.

How I spent my weekend

From the file of rejected children's books based on fairy tales.

I learned how to use Illustrator. Previously, I’d try one line with the pen tool and get fed up. It’s amazing how much easier the program is to use when you actually know how the tools work. I had so much fun playing around, I wrote a short comic so I’d have a legitimate reason to waste all my free time messing around with Illustrator.

The final page of the current Li’l Mell storyline is up! Hooray for me and the much more talented Neil Babra!

Next storyline to start soon, hopefully. I believe I’ll be drawing this one.

The Chronicles of William Bazillion: Chapter Seven starts today!

RUN, do not walk, to the latest installment of The Chronicles of William Bazillion  I provide a handy recap of the past two years’ worth of stories, while (re-)introducing two characters who will have a big impact on the upcoming (I promise) resolution of The Race for Santa’s Nazi Gold.

Excelsior!

The cure for the new year’s blues…

…is reading some Bold Riley! We’ve got the finalé of Serpent in the Belly up and ready for your reading enjoyment. And for those of you going to Wondercon next month, it is highly likely Leia will have Serpent minis for sale.

In other BR news, I’ve seen some of the concept art for Blue God, and if you weren’t already chomping at the bit to read it, you should be. Vanessa Lynn really brings the teenage Riley to life.

I’m also working on doing the flat colors for Wicked Temple. If you hadn’t already heard, the volume 1 anthology (Dusty Road) is due in 2010, and it will be full color. Yay color!

Now in more color!
