Interviews at Sequential Tart

Both Shaenon and Andrew have been interviewed by Sequential Tart! Check out what makes them tick, who there influences are, and what they’re up to next.

Site News

I’m in the process of changing domain registrars, and it looks like it’s causing a slight hiccup. If you get an error message for www.couscouscollective.com, please go to www.couscous.2dcomics.com. If you get an error message for www.boldriley.com, please go to www.boldriley.2dcomics.com. Hopefully this will be fixed soon.

Home again Home again

The collective made it back from Stumptown in one piece with only minor panic and catastrophe! I got some ideas for site redesign for Bold Riley and 2D Comics while I was sitting at the table with no way to work on them. Hopefully I’ll find some time to get that done now that I’m back in touch with my computers.

Stumptown Ho!

The cous is heading for Portland on Friday for Stumptown! We’ll all be there with stuff for buying, including the latest volume of Narbonic, a variant cover for Andrew’s Hufflepuff Animal House send up, Bold Riley and the Serpent in the Belly and the Wicked Temple, the expansive Thompson oeuvre, a new project by Liz,  and a new kids comic by me. If you’re in the area, stop by and say hey. We’re at tables 83-84.

The cure for the new year’s blues…

…is reading some Bold Riley! We’ve got the finalé of Serpent in the Belly up and ready for your reading enjoyment. And for those of you going to Wondercon next month, it is highly likely Leia will have Serpent minis for sale.

In other BR news, I’ve seen some of the concept art for Blue God, and if you weren’t already chomping at the bit to read it, you should be. Vanessa Lynn really brings the teenage Riley to life.

I’m also working on doing the flat colors for Wicked Temple. If you hadn’t already heard, the volume 1 anthology (Dusty Road) is due in 2010, and it will be full color. Yay color!

Now in more color!

Now in more color!

Kind of a big deal.

Holiday Cheer

It’s Wednesday, and that means a new Li’l Mell. Oh, but there’s so much more. Over in William Bazillion territory, Andrew has posted an entire Harry Potter fancomic, cowritten by me. Because we want to give the world the gift of Harry Potter fancomics. Yes.

The Best Damned Comics of 2008…

…chosen by a buncha cartoonists.

I’ve got a list in there, K Chronicles creator Keith Knight mentions Skin Horse, and Li’l Mell artist Neil Babra gets a nod from none other than Jeff Smith. So awesome.

Yet More William Bazillion + Li’l Mell

Yes, it’s Wednesday again. Me an’ Neil Babra have a new Li’l Mell up, and I did a Thanksgiving guest strip over at The Chronicles of William Bazillion. I am just that great.

New William Bazillion & Li’l Mell

It’s Wednesday, and that means Andrew’s got a new installment of The Chronicles of William Bazillion, and I’ve got a new installment of Li’l Mell (with art by the illustrious Neil Babra). Which has more Nixons? Read and learn!
